Dial-Up Account

What is Dial-up?

Dial-up is the process of using a modem to connect to the Internet or network. Connecting via a modem will be about five times slower than when you are on campus connected to the network, but it works. The key is to be patient.

Registered Students: Online Account Request

Registered students can request a separate ISP account. This account is limited to 50 hours per month. Warren area students will need to visit the Help Desk to get an account from Wikstrom Telephone.

Once you've received and connected to an ISP, you'll need to make a second connection through Virtual Private Networking in order to access Outlook email, or gain access to your web accounts on the UMC domain. This second connection isn't necessary if you only want to be on the internet.

Usage can be reviewed at RRV Network.

Faculty & Staff : Online Account Request

Faculty and staff who live within a fifty mile radius of campus may request a dial-up account.
