How to setup a new internet connection using Windows 2000

Step 1: Setup new icon

a) Start|Settings|Network and Dialup Connection|Make a new connection.
b) Next.
c) Dialup to the Internet
d) Select "I want to setup my Internet connection manually, or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN)
e) Select "I connect through a phone line and a modem"
f) Enter phone number: 320-589-4526
g) Enter X.500 userid* and password
h) Assign a name to the icon (example: UMC Dialup)
i) Answer "No"
j) Finish
k) Internet Explorer opens--click on properties to modify the connections tab--change it so that it set to "Dial whenever a network connection is not present"
