Changing Your UMC Password

1) Press Ctrl+Alt+Del at same time.
2) Click "Change Password..." button.
3) Complete requested information within the Change Password dialog.

UMC Email Password Rules

Passwords must be at least six (8) characters long and cannot contain your username or full name.

Passwords must contain characters from at least three (3) of the following four (4) classes: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.


Description - Examples

English Uppercase Letters - A, B, C, ....Z

English Lowercase Letters - a, b, c,....z

Westernized Arabic Numerals - 0, 1, 2, ....9

Non-Alphanumeric (special characters) such as punctuation symbols.

Keep your password private. You should NEVER tell your password to anyone, not even your roommate or best friend. Users are responsible for ALL mail that is sent in their name. The only way to accomplish this is if someone knows your password and is able to forge mail as you.

Please take your email account seriously, as all complaints are reported to the Student Conduct Committee. Any email which could be considered harassment, derogatory or offensive may be reported. A joke that is funny to you may not be funny to someone else. A piece of advice: Don't put anything in writing that you wouldn't tell to someone's face.
