How to set up a UMC-VPN account on Mac OS X: For Mac OS X 10.1 or later

1. In a new “Finder” window, open up the “Applications” Folder either on the side bar, or through “Macintosh HD -> Applications” From here, open up “Internet Connections”

2. Once opened, select “File -> New VPN Connection” from the bar across the top of the screen.

3. Select “PPTP” from the 2 options and click Continue.

4. Enter in the following information as follows.

Server Address:
umc-vpn.umcrookston.edu

Account Name:
User’s Name as shown to the right. Note: Do not need to enter “@umcrookston.edu” at the end

Password: <User’s Password>

For further configurations, click the down menu by the “Configuration: “ selection and click on “Edit Configurations” option.
